The civic integration exam consists of six parts: Reading, Listening, Writing, Speaking, KNM (Knowledge of Dutch Society), and the participation component ONA/MAP + PVT. Each part tests a different skill.

Reading

You read short texts and answer questions about them.

Listening

You listen to conversations or messages and answer questions about them.

Writing

You write short texts, such as a message or a form.

Speaking

You hold short conversations and talk about yourself and everyday situations.

KNM

Knowledge of Dutch Society: a computer exam about housing, work, and government.

ONA / MAP + PVT

The participation component: you show what you've done to take part in Dutch society.
